Available to DPS SaaS customers, extended retention lets you keep RUM and Synthetic data beyond the standard 35 days, up to 13 months.
This enables new use cases such as long-term performance trending, seasonal analysis, and fraud detection, and helps meet audit-related data compliance requirements.
Retained data can be queried in the core Digital Experience apps, or via Dashboards and Notebooks.
For more information, see Calculate your consumption of Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) - Retain.
Dynatrace version 1.330+
User Interactions introduces a new class of frontend RUM events such as clicks, taps, scrolls, drags, zooms, and other UI gestures, that were not captured in Classic RUM. These enable Dynatrace to collect unprecedented rich behavioural analytics while the feature is still being refined. Customers gain early visibility into use cases such as behavioral funnels, feature adoption, retention analysis, and deeper UX insights.
For more information, see User Interactions documentation.
Dynatrace version 1.330+
With the DEM Query Early Access program, customers can execute DEM-related DQL queries across Dashboards, Notebooks, Workflows, Custom Apps, SLOs, and the API that use DEM data without incurring queryâÂÂbased charges during the early access phase. Customers can explore and validate how RUM data on Grail behaves when queried at scale and consolidate their upcoming query-consumption patterns. An out-of-the-box dashboard will automatically be deployed to help customers track query usage.
For more information, see Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) Query.

Dynatrace now allows you to bring your own AWS encryption key.
With this feature, you can manage your own encryption key outside of Dynatrace. Your self-managed key can be used to encrypt and decrypt certain data that is stored in your Dynatrace environment. This includes all Grail data, and documents such as notebooks, workflows and dashboards.
This is currently available only for customers with Dynatrace SaaS hosted on AWS.
For more information, see Manage AWS encryption keys.

Lookup data in Grail lets you enrich your observability data, such as logs, events, traces, or metrics, with lookup tables. You can upload your data as files in text-based formats such as CSV, JSONL, or XML, which are then parsed into a Grail-native format for seamless integration. With lookup data stored in Grail, you can use it in your DQL queries to add additional context to your observability data. The preview is available to customers of the latest Dynatrace with DPS licensing. No sign-up is required.
For more information, see Lookup data in Grail.
The remote MCP Server allows third party AI agents to securely access and interact with Dynatrace. Once set up, users can utilize tools such as GitHub Copilot or Atlassian Rovo to obtain real-time insights from production environments, including logs, metrics, traces, and real-user data and all their dependencies.
For more information, see Dynatrace MCP Server.

Segments help to logically structure and conveniently filter observability data in Grail. With segments, we allow upgrading from management zone filtering in classic Dynatrace, to data segmentation for cross-app filtering on the latest Dynatrace. To focus on the data that matters, you can use Segments to 'block out noise' and examine only a defined set of data.

Dynatrace Intelligence generative AI developed by Dynatrace allows you to explore data through natural language, helping with onboarding and boosting productivity. This Preview focuses on providing answers via a conversational interface to help, support, and onboarding questions based on our support resources.
Session Replay Mobile lets you capture and watch all sessions from monitored mobile applications (native iOS and Android, SwiftUI, and Jetpack Composed support included). It creates anonymized, video-like recordings of users' interactions with mobile apps. You can watch their taps to identify what they're trying to do, where they're having trouble, and what's frustrating them. You'll be able to fix bugs and make improvements that increase overall user satisfaction.

With RUM on Grail, you will gain a better client-side visibility via our new event-based data model and use-case driven apps. This advancement is crucial for insightful and contextual analysis of modern frontends that are often page and view-based. You can access all of this data using new Digital Experience apps or query them using DQL in Notebooks and Dashboards.
For more information, see New Real User Monitoring Experience.
