Dynatrace SaaS release notes version 1.216

Product news

Synthetic HTTP monitor execution details

You can now analyze various details such as headers or the response of selected HTTP monitor executions. Dynatrace provides access to the last successful and failed executions on each location for HTTP monitors. You can filter these details by HTTP request or location. Select Analyze last execution at the top of the HTTP monitors details page. Make sure you view the new UI for HTTP monitor details.

Davis Security Score

Dynatrace comes with a new enhanced risk-calculation score called Davis Security Score. Based on the industry-standard CVSS, Davis AI also considers parameters like public internet exposure and checks to see if and where sensitive data is affected. This makes Davis Security Score the most precise risk-assessment score available. For more information, see Davis Security Score calculations.

Amazon CloudWatch Metric Streams integration

You can now restrict which metrics are streamed by manually setting up a Metric Streams client in the AWS console. For more information, see Set up a Metric Streams client.

Prometheus service annotations

Starting with ActiveGate version 1.215, you can annotate Kubernetes services, and there are three new optional annotations with a special format for client authentication. See Prometheus metrics for details.

Azure alerting rules

The following alerting rules are removed in Dynatrace:

  • Azure DNS Zone record set capacity utilization (Static threshold: above 95%)
  • Azure Media Service asset quota used percentage (Static threshold: above 95%)
  • Azure Media Service content key policy quota used percentage (Static threshold: above 95%)
  • Azure Media Service streaming policy quota used percentage (Static threshold: above 95%)
  • Azure Private DNS Zone record set capacity utilization (Static threshold: above 95%)
  • Azure Private DNS Zone virtual network link capacity utilization (Static threshold: above 95%)
  • Azure Private DNS Zone virtual network registration link capacity utilization (Static threshold: above 95%)

See Set up metric events for alerting for the list of alerting rules per cloud service.

Real User Monitoring

Updated user session export

The User session export configuration can now be modified using the Settings API. You can also configure up to three endpoints for user session export.

Aggregation types

Extended aggregation types for web application performance analysis, such as the 75th percentile for your Core web vitals.

Key Performance Metric and Core web vitals as key-value pairs in waterfall analysis

Now you can see and analyze all the Google Core web vitals and your selected Key Performance Metric for your web apllication at a glance in a key-value pair list on your waterfall analysis single instance view.

Completed product ideas

Resolved issues

General Availability (Build 1.216.91)

The 1.216 GA release contains 18 resolved issues.

Problem detection and notifications

  • Corrected the alerting profile behavior. Profiles without any severity rules or event match all problems now, instead of none. (APM-307529)

RUM

  • Resolved issue to prevent UI crash when results contain no data. We have added a check to verify that the internal data to create the response is correct. (APM-291799)
  • Resolved issue triggered when using a long metricSelector or the addition of several metricSelector instances (e.g., executing several queries at same time). Error occurred when this metricSelector(s) contained more than 1,800 characters in one request. We now split the problem so the request does not exceed the limit. (APM-291590)

Session Replay

  • Resolved issue in which playback of applications with very large HTML documents sometimes made the browser unresponsive. (APM-292818)
  • Resolved issue that caused incorrect Session Replay masking rules to be applied for child nodes. The combined rule set (allowlist + blocklist) of the parent was taken into consideration. Now the masking rules for the child node are calculated based on the individual rule set of the parent node. (APM-291602)

Cluster

  • Added support for user action naming rules with OR conditions to web application configuration API. (APM-292756)
  • Improved permission check to access process group settings and details page from process details page in case the user has permissions only in management zone. 'Edit' option and links are no longer visible when the user does not have permission to view the process group details or settings. (APM-292404)
  • Improved permission check to host settings page from host details page in case the user has permissions only in management zone. 'Settings' option is no longer visible when the user does not have permission to view this specific host's settings. (APM-291903)
  • Fixed an issue in which configured generic relationships were not persisted. (APM-293415)
  • Improved filter field edit behavior in 'Data explorer'. (APM-291342)
  • Added validation for JMX extensions so Dynatrace will reject plugins that have an invalid splitting defined. (APM-292849)
  • Fixed an issue in which querying certain combinations of metrics resulted in an internal server error. (APM-292042)
  • AWS CloudWatch metric Amazon MQ EnqueueTime sometimes has invalid minimum values reported by CloudWatch. Removed AWS Amazon MQ Supporting Service EnqueueTime metrics with Multi aggregation. Added optional AWS Amazon MQ Supporting Service EnqueueTime metrics with Average and Maximum aggregation. Customers monitoring metrics that were removed should configure AWS Supporting Service and enable new metrics that replace the removed ones. (APM-289135)
  • Fixed an issue in which querying newly created metrics, in rare circumstances, was possible only after restarting the node. (APM-293230)
  • Improved permission check to access process group details page from process details page in case the user has permission only in management zone. Now a simple label, instead of a link, is displayed for the process group when the user does not have permission to view the process group details. (APM-293401)

User interface

  • On 'User sessions' > [user details] page, selected timeframe is now correctly reflected in breadcrumbs and summary section links. (APM-292287)

Autonomous Cloud

  • Resolved issue that resulted in the "Problems" > [problem] page not displaying for an active problem. (APM-293796)
  • Fixed issue causing "Monitor Kubernetes/OpenShift page to erroneously display "Make sure your API token has Read Configuration and Write Configuration enabled" (instead of permission "Access problem and event feed, metrics, and topology") for generated API token. (APM-292654)
