The built-in export request workflow makes it straightforward to search for, review, and export personal data associated with specific end users.
Sensitive Data Center also lets you track the status of these requests in the Requests tab. Each step is documented with an audit trail to ensure compliance with your obligations.
To create export requests with
Sensitive Data Center, you need to:
Open
Sensitive Data Center.
Select the Request export button on the Export personal data card.
Select user type. You can choose between end-user or employee.
Identify the user by one of the following:
Depending on your chosen identifier type, fill in the User identifier field with an email address, IP address, or a custom user ID.
In the Grail search scope section, use the Timeframe dropdown to specify a start and end date.
Choose Log bucket scope. You can select All log buckets or Selected log buckets. If you select the second option, a dropdown will appear. In the dropdown, check the desired log buckets.
In the Request details section, fill in the following:
Select Next .
Next, you can preview your request, apply policies, and adapt the DQL query to ensure that it only matches relevant data.
Select Create request to save your request.
Your selected reviewer will be notified by email and must then review and approve your request. Alternatively, they can request changes to the request. You will be notified by email when they approve or request changes.
Once your reviewer approves the request, they can export the data. They can choose to export all log records or selected log records as a CSV or JSON file.
To make reviews easier and to speed up processing your request, see Best practices.
