Ownership keeps your team information automatically up to date; it uses key-value pair tags attached to Smartscape nodes to define and manage teams in Dynatrace.

The Ownership module is organized around a few key ideas:

  • Tags: Ownership is represented in key-value tags attached to Smartscape nodes to follow the topology.

    For more information on how you can use tags, see assign tags for ownership.

  • Team information: Teams are defined and include information such as name, description, identifier, and external ID.

    Keep your team information up-to-date with either a Workflows Workflows Ownership Ownership action, Settings Settings, or the API.

  • Automation with Ownership Ownership: With Ownership Ownership you can configure a workflow to automatically Import teams and Get owners.
