How Session Replay works for web frontends

Session Replay doesn't record video. Instead, it monitors changes on the DOM tree of your web application—every visual change has a corresponding change in the underlying DOM. Session Replay captures and recreates these changes. Because all of this is text-based data, small session sizes are achieved through compact representation and compression.
Compression runs on a background worker thread, so it has a low impact on the UI thread and doesn't interfere with the user interface.
