Configure Dynatrace Real User Monitoring with the RUM API: create and delete frontends, download JavaScript tags, and get mobile app snippets.
The Dynatrace RUM API supports setting up Real User Monitoring for your web and mobile frontends. You can create and delete web or mobile frontends, list RUM cookie names and RUM JavaScript versions, download the JavaScript tag, inline code, or OneAgent JavaScript tag with or without SRI, and get configuration snippets and files for Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native, and .NET MAUI apps. Typical usage includes automating frontend onboarding and injecting monitoring code during deployment.
Platform API endpoints use Platform token and OAuth client authentication. Attach a platform token or OAuth access token to the Authorization HTTP header using the Bearer scheme.
--header 'Authorization: Bearer <platform-token-or-oauth-access-token>'
For details, see Tokens and authentication and Platform tokens.
