New features and enhancements
Product news
- Break down the barriers to end-to-end monitoring with Dynatraceļ»æ
Dynatrace is excited to release cross-environment tracing, which enables enterprises to follow individual distributed traces from the boundary of one monitoring environment into other environments while maintaining a complete end-to-end view.
End-of-support news
The End-of-support news page now has a Dynatrace Managed section that clarifies our end-of-support policy. We use that page to communicate our de-support plans well in advance, so we recommend that you review it regularly to prepare for support changes from Dynatrace.
Internet proxy configuration for air-gapped deployments
You can now configure a proxy configuration in the Cluster Management Console for air-gapped (offline) deployments. The configured proxy is used by external problem notification services, such as ServiceNow, Jira, and webhooks.
Sign-in page mode configuration is now available for embedded admin user account
To change the sign-in page mode in previous versions, there had to be at least one cluster admin when sign via SSO. Now, when SSO is down, you can sign in to the cluster via the /admin
page and adjust the sign-in page configuration.
Extended automation is enabled with "after installation" token Cluster Token Management scope
A cluster administrator that wants a fully-automated cluster setup was limited to using only REST API authorized by Service Provide API token scope. We've extended this token with Cluster Token Management scope. Now, a user can also automatically generate other tokens as needed, such as a token with read/write settings.
Available and reserved space values for cluster node storages have been adjusted
We've adjusted the values we show in Cluster Management Console - cluster nodes page and in cluster events so they match the behavior of truncating data. In practice, new values are more restrictive to ensure cluster deployment health robustness. You may observe less available space and more reserved space.
Improved navigation
We have added a new settings group breadcrumb item to Settings 2.0 pages linking to the first setting in a settings group.
Account permission label in Cluster Management Console renamed
Account permission View product usage & manage account info
has been renamed Edit billing & account info
to match the permission name in Dynatrace SaaS.
Operating systems support
Rocky Linux 9.0 added
We have added support for Rocky Linux 9.0.
Ubuntu 21.04 dropped
Ubuntu 21.04 is no longer supported for new installations. We still maintain existing deployments and allow upgrades. This note is to inform you that Dynatrace Managed version 1.258 will be the last one that you can upgrade to on an unsupported operating system.

General Availability (Build 1.250.137)
The 1.250 GA release contains 3 resolved issues.
Application Security
- Enabling OneAgent feature "Java code-level security evaluation" no longer leads to usage reporting for Application Protection even when Application Protection is not enabled on the cluster. (CASP-17791)
Cluster
- Resolved an issue in which, in a Dynatrace environment running in multiple data centers, if the problem environment was configured to not do conflict resolution on the database level, problems sometimes were automatically closed through an unrelated manual problem closure on a past problem. (DAVIS-2294)
- Fixed an issue with some OneAgent-raised events, for example, high CPU, being auto-closed after 6 hours, even if the underlying issue still persists. This could also cause problems to be closed early when all of their events get auto-closed too early. (DAVIS-2324)
Update 140 (Build 1.250.140)
This is a cumulative update that contains all previously released updates for the 1.250 release.
Update 145 (Build 1.250.145)
This cumulative update contains 31 resolved issues and all previously released updates for the 1.250 release.
Application Security
- Enabling OneAgent feature "Java code-level security evaluation" no longer leads to usage reporting for Application Protection even when Application Protection is not enabled on the cluster. (CASP-17791)
- The "Third-party vulnerabilities" page now correctly displays "Nodes" instead of "Process groups" for "Affected entities". (CASP-17153)
Cloud automation solution
- Aggregation is now correct in displayed results for "Service performance" SLOs in the table visualization. (APM-381277)
Cluster
- Resolved issue in which the alerting configs with parent-aware filters (for example, MANAGEMENT_ZONE filter on SERVICE_METHOD) were considered invalid and not processed by the alerting engine. (DAVIS-2112)
- Resolved issue causing missing executions for an event filter that matches many events. (APM-381854)
- Fixed frequent issue detection for disk and AWS alerts. (APM-386093)
- It is now possible to mute/unmute a request from the service details page with only IAM permissions. (TI-2540)
- Added check for null values to resolve null pointer exception. (APM-382933)
- Links to log viewer are now handled correctly (resolves `Angular Exception...`). (APM-382549)
- Column order from Advanced Mode query is now reflected in the table. (APM-380504)
- Fixed a calculation issue with observed user count shown on problems. (APM-383425)
- Resolved issue in which, when a user tried to disable and re-enable traffic drop detection in their anomaly detection settings via API, the API call changed the over-alerting response time from 10 minutes to 1 minute even though nothing in their call should be changing. (RUM-7063)
- Fixed an issue with Managed users who didn't use the old mobile app in the last 180 days, but installed the new mobile app 3.0, who then didn't receive mobile push notifications. (DAVIS-2153)
- Resolved an issue in which, in a Dynatrace environment running in multiple data centers, if the problem environment was configured to not do conflict resolution on the database level, problems sometimes were automatically closed through an unrelated manual problem closure on a past problem. (DAVIS-2294)
- Sorting the pods column in the Kubernetes workloads page now works properly. (K8S-3315)
- Resolved issue that caused the view trace option to not be enabled for some service calls. (RUM-7246)
- Key requests section is now visible in service details for background activity services. (TI-2926)
- The "Multidimensional analysis: Geolocations" page, "Actions" column, now correctly displays actions/min instead of an action count. (RUM-6785)
- Fixed a problem where certain remote environments could not be used for the cross environment tracing feature. (TI-2967)
- Management zone and timeframe are now preserved when using "Preview upgraded chart" from a custom chart tile. (APM-384498)
- The log viewer now displays an accurate sampling ratio when available. (APM-377452)
- Modification of a failure detection parameter rule that is already in use no longer returns a `Custom validation failed` error message. (TI-3007)
- Fixed an issue with some OneAgent-raised events, for example, high CPU, being auto-closed after 6 hours, even if the underlying issue still persists. This could also cause problems to be closed early when all of their events get auto-closed too early. (DAVIS-2324)
- Key requests are now displayed on the key requests list only if they're currently marked as key requests (deleted key requests no longer listed). (TI-2705)
- Kubernetes overview page properly displays memory units in the Japanese locale. (K8S-3198)

- Events section on host, service, and synthetic pages now correctly lists all events. (APM-384256)
