Dynatrace Managed release notes version 1.234
These release notes relate to Dynatrace Managed specific changes. To learn about general Dynatrace changes included in this Dynatrace Managed release, see:
Announcements
Dynatrace Managed on Centos/RHEL/Oracle Linux 7.6.
Starting with this release, you can no longer install new clusters and new nodes on Centos/RHEL/Oracle Linux 7.6
- See End of support announcements for details.
Kubernetes events integration in Dynatrace Managed
For full observability into your Kubernetes events, automatic Davis analysis, and custom alerting, you need to enable the latest version of Dynatrace Log Monitoring and Kubernetes event integration.
- See Log Monitoring Classic for details.
- See Monitor Kubernetes/OpenShift events for details.
New features and enhancements
New dtCookie format and Max user actions per minute limit
With Dynatrace version 1.234, the new dtCookie
format as indicated in Cookies will be automatically enabled for all customers. This was previously announced in Dynatrace SaaS release notes version 1.215. If an environment still uses the old dtCookie
format, the maximum user actions per minute limit will also become effective.
Actions required
If you haven't previously enabled the new cookie format and your environment exceeds the default limit of 3,500 user actions per minute, you can adjust Maximum user actions per minute in Cluster Management Console > Environments in the Cluster overload prevention settings section.
Environment tags
Environment tags are now displayed in Environment Details page in Cluster Management Console.
Performance improvements
To take advantage of performance improvements, the latest security-vulnerability enhancements, and bug fixes, we've upgraded JRE for the following cluster node components: Cassandra and Elasticsearch will now use JRE 8u312
. Other components will now use JRE 11.0.13
.
OpenID Connect (SSO)
- Signature validation can be configured for OpenID Connect (SSO).
- Refreshing user group assignments, every 30 minutes, for sign-in users with OpenID, to have user permissions up to date.
See Manage users and groups with OpenID in Dynatrace Managed for details.

Cluster | 1 |
Cluster Management Console | 1 |
Cluster
- Fixed, browser exclusion settings 2.0 that were shown for applications other than auto injected applications. (RUM-4394)
Cluster Management Console
- Resolved caching issue on REST endpoint `/api/v1.0/onpremise/groups/managementZones`, which caused updates to fail for recently created management zones. (APM-352475)
Update 113 (Build 1.234.113)
This cumulative update contains 1 resolved issue and all previously released updates for the 1.234 release.

Update 124 (Build 1.234.124)
This cumulative update contains 4 resolved issues and all previously released updates for the 1.234 release.
Component | Resolved issues |
---|---|
Application Security | 1 |
Cluster | 3 |
Application Security
- Inconsistent host coverage data, which can occur if software component reporting is enabled but the reported hosts are not ensured in Dynatrace, now only logs a warning (downgraded from throwing an exception) to avoid breaking the Application Security overview page. (APM-350518)
Cluster
- Tenant CountryCode can be used to adjust IP and geolocation resolution based on political variations. When set to China, for example, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao are resolved as regions within China rather than as countries in their own right. This resolves an issue where this was not applying for mobile visits. (RUM-4510)
- After manual update of ActiveGate to a specific version via REST, the module update no longer fails. (APM-354104)
