Mission Control observes each Managed Cluster node. Self-monitoring underpins Dynatrace proactive support. You have control over where the self-monitoring data is stored and who has access to it. All Managed Clusters have a local self-monitoring environment with internal metrics. Additionally, a Managed Cluster node can be monitored by OneAgent reporting to Dynatrace or your own environment.
The premium self-monitoring environment is only available and included in Enterprise Success and Support subscriptions.
Dynatrace Managed deployment includes Dynatrace OneAgent at each Managed Cluster node, which provides self-monitoring of Managed Cluster health. Monitoring is enabled in Full-Stack Monitoring mode.
With this capability, Dynatrace product experts can support you proactively so you can focus on monitoring your applications. Data is reported to Mission Control Support Services and stored in self-monitoring environment hosted on a Dynatrace SaaS cluster. Data is stored in a US region. Only Dynatrace privileged employees have access to the data.
On each new installation or upgrade of a Dynatrace Managed Cluster node, Mission Control provides a self-monitoring OneAgent download address. Installation sets up a predefined self-monitoring configuration, and data is reported to the configured environment.
