Announcements
Thresholds API (api/v1/thresholds
) is EOL
API
The Thresholds API (api/v1/thresholds
) has reached end of life.
Its functionality has moved to metric events, which can be configured via the Settings API (/api/v2/settings
) using the Metric events (builtin:anomaly-detection.metric-events
) schema. For details, see Settings API.
Kubernetes minimum ActiveGate version is now 1.263
Infrastructure Observability | Kubernetes
An information box is displayed that to access the latest Kubernetes features, you need to deploy ActiveGate version 1.263+.
New features and enhancements
z/OS modules download
Application Observability | Mainframe Monitoring
The CICS, IMS, z/OS Java, and zDC modules are now available for download via the Dynatrace web UI and Deployment API.
For more details, see Download z/OS product datasets.
New operating systems for private Synthetic locations
Digital Experience | Synthetic Monitoring
The following operating systems are now supported for Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2
Oracle Linux 8.8 (uses the same Chromium package as for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8)
Note that for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, we also support the minor versions 8.7 and 8.8 in addition to versions 8.4 and 8.6.
Improved host settings text
Infrastructure Observability | Hosts
Improved the description of the Crash dump analytics switch on the host settings page.
VMware invalid credentials event
Infrastructure Observability | VMware
When the VMware connecting process is blocked due to invalid credentials, a Monitoring Unavailable event is triggered. The event is active for up to 6 hour and then closed.
The event can be closed earlier if:
the affected credentials are fixed.
the affected credentials are removed completely from settings.
the problem is manually closed.
Expanded information displayed for problem lifecycle
Platform | Davis AI
Added more textual information on the specific problem lifecycle of a problem in the problem details web UI.
The information includes:
The time when the earliest event analysis of the problem started.
When the problem was created.
When the problem finished root cause analysis.
When the problem changed from a frequent issue to an abnormal one.
Kubernetes anomaly detection sample period and observation period limits changed
Infrastructure Observability | Kubernetes
The maximum sample period and observation period for all alerts provided by Kubernetes anomaly detection have been increased from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
New attributes values for Windows events logs
Infrastructure Observability | Logs
There are new attribute values for Windows events logs.
Settings > Log Monitoring > Log Storage Configuration > Add rule > Add matcher > Matcher attribute >
- Windows log record event ID
- Windows log record source
- Windows log record task category
- Windows log record operational code
You can filter by these attributes on entries from Windows events logs that are sent to the storage.
Requirements: OneAgent version 1.273+
Log monitoring timestamp character search limit is configurable
Infrastructure Observability | Log Monitoring
You can now configure the timestamp character search limit as a part of a timestamp configuration rule.
Third-party vulnerabilities support external tracking links
Application Security | Vulnerabilities
You can now track the progress of the remediation items related to a vulnerability by adding references to tickets created by the responsible team for the respective entities
- In Dynatrace (see Tracking link for process groups and Tracking link for Kubernetes nodes).
- Via Dynatrace API (see POST remediation item tracking links).
Improved consistency of web UI and REST API alerting profile filters and notification engine
Platform | Davis AI
Alerting profiles now consistently match in the web UI and REST API alerting profile filters as well as the notification engine.
Improved Cluster backup validation procedure
Cluster Management Console | Backup and restore
Test files created temporarily in the network storage for backup have now random filenames to increase the resilience of backup validation and reduce false-positive alerts to the minimum.

User Interface | 2 |
ActiveGate
- Improved reliability of ActiveGate module update when using "ActiveGates - Auto-update jobs" API to perform a one-time update to a non-latest target version. (CLUSTER-8006)
Cluster
- The Problem details header now shows "Multiple synthetic monitors" in the entity part if multiple synthetic test are affected (was showing an arbitrary affected entity name). (DAVIS-5720)
- Informational Davis events can now be ingested 7 days into the future (was only working for up to 6 hours). (DAVIS-5682)
- Naming for userActionName for standalone JavaScript errors now works the same as for errors with a parent node. (RUM-12908)
- Fixed link to Kubernetes node in Event card (now correctly links to node page instead of host page). (K8S-6859)
- Fixed missing filters for "Synthetic monitor health" dashboard tiles when exporting dashboards. (EXA-7534)
- Fixed long loading times for Unified Service Screen. (TI-9442)
- Fixed API documentation for events and log ingest. (LIMA-9596)
- The service overview page now correctly shows throughput metrics for key requests. (TI-8417)
- When the "Revert to 3rd party service status" option is selected, a success message is displayed, and the option is removed from the menu. (TI-8145)
- The changepoint detection algorithm for Davis root cause analysis has been refined for certain cases. (DAVIS-5588)
Managed
- Fixed the "Include backup of Log Monitoring v2 events" option in the backup configuration that didn't work correctly. (CLD-8000)
