Feature updates

Digital Experience

Get accurate app startup timings with capped cold-start inflation

Dynatrace now caps inflated cold app-start durations so you see realistic warm-start timings backed by meaningful data. This gives you more accurate app launch performance metrics for troubleshooting and analysis.

Digital Experience | RUM Mobile

Track your complete app launch experience with app start user actions

OneAgent for Mobile now automatically captures an app start user action on every app launch, no configuration required. The action begins when the app starts (cold, warm, or hot) and extends through the first fully settled screen, capturing all network requests and navigations fired during initialization.

You now have a single queryable entity representing the complete user-perceived launch experience:

  • Performance monitoring: Track app launch duration as a metric over time.
  • Waterfall breakdown: View startup phases, initial network requests, and navigations together in a single waterfall chart.
  • Filter by launch type: Distinguish cold, warm, and hot launches via the linked app_start event.

For more information, see Mobile RUM user actions.
