End of support for private Synthetic locations on Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8

ActiveGate version 1.325 is the last Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate supported on Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8. These platforms are no longer supported on version 1.327 and later.

Chromium support for private Synthetic locations

Chromium 141 is the latest supported version for Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate installed on:

  • Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6
  • Rocky Linux 9.6

Chrome for Testing 141 is the latest supported version for Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate installed on:

  • Amazon Linux 2023
  • Ubuntu 24.04
  • Oracle Linux 9.5

Chromium 141 is bundled with the Windows ActiveGate installer.

Enhanced the performance of OpenMetrics parsing in ActiveGate Kubernetes monitoring.

ActiveGate connection cleanup enabled by default

When monitoring Kubernetes, ActiveGate is now releasing idle connections also in the background and not only just-in-time, to avoid saturation scenarios that could lead to gaps in monitoring.

Deprecated dt.kubernetes.xxx.name attributes

The following attributes are deprecated and should be replaced with equivalent attributes as defined in the Semantic Dictionary:

Manual installation support for Chrome for Testing in Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate

Starting with version 1.327, manual installation of Chrome for Testing is supported on Amazon Linux 2023, Ubuntu 24.04, and Oracle Linux 9.5. This allows you to manually download and set up Chrome for Testing for Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate.

    Fixes and maintenance

    General Availability (1.327.28)

    • Additional data is now masked for “Kubernetes Enhanced Object Visibility” in the YAML view (k8s.object). This includes sensitive information such as workload and pod environment variable values, as well as the command and arg arrays associated with workloads and pods. (INFOBS-5556)
    • Prometheus kube-state-metrics ingested via ActiveGate Kubernetes monitoring are now enriched with the k8s.cluster.uid dimension. (INFOBS-5445)
    • Resolved an issue with data ingestion for “Kubernetes Enhanced Object Visibility Preview” affecting only certain edge cases. (INFOBS-5079)
    • Fix problem with “Kubernetes Enhanced Object Visibility” in combination with “Kubernetes Security Posture Management”. (INFOBS-4759)
