End of support for private Synthetic locations on Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8

There are no new versions of Chromium for Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8 beyond version 133. For important security and stability reasons, we've decided to discontinue our support for installing Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate on Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8 after ActiveGate version 1.325.

To ensure the continuity and security of your synthetic monitors, we recommend migrating your Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate to one of the supported operating systems, for example Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 9.

ActiveGate version 1.325 is the last Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate supported on Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8.

Additionally, with Dynatrace version 1.326, we plan to introduce mechanisms preventing Synthetic-enabled ActiveGates on Red Hat/Oracle Linux/Rocky Linux 8 from being updated beyond version 1.325.

Platform | Metrics

Thread pool metrics reported as gauge

ActiveGate thread pool metrics (dsfm:active_gate.thread_pool.queue_size and dsfm:active_gate.thread_pool.busy_threads) are reported as fully featured gauge type, including minimum, maximum and average value for given timeframe.

Infrastructure Observability | Log Monitoring

Override content type for logs ingested via Logs Ingestion API

You can provide content-type with a query parameter for generic ingest (/logs/ingest) content-type only. The value provided in the query parameter has priority over the type specified in the content-type header.

Platform | Metrics

Provide reporting for volume free space and volume total space

Implemented reporting of volume free space and total space for module directories. Metrics include volume mount point dimension for improved observability.

Platform | Metrics

Outdated metrics have been removed as improved alternatives are now in use

We’re removed some obsolete metrics that are no longer in use, as improved alternatives are already in place. This change has no impact on functionality.
