Filter with primary Grail tags
You can enrich spans at ingest with primary Grail tags and query them via primary_tags.* fields. In Distributed Tracing, primary Grail tags are available as facets and in the filter field, so you can filter traces by tag key-value pairs without writing DQL queries.
To filter traces using primary Grail tags:
Go to Distributed Tracing > Explorer.
In the Facets panel, expand the Primary tags facet group.
Select one or more tag values.
The filter field is updated with the corresponding primary_tags.* filter, and the trace list shows only matching traces.
Alternatively, enter primary_tags in the filter field to see autosuggestions for primary Grail tag keys.
