Use the @dynatrace-sdk/client-resource-store SDK client instead of calling this API directly — it handles authentication, typing, and the environment URL for you. This REST reference is for external and automation use.

Overview

Dynatrace Grail - Resource Store API lets you manage files stored in the Grail Resource Store, including lookup data used by other Dynatrace workflows. It supports uploading lookup files, testing how lookup data parses before you store it, and deleting files when they are no longer needed. Typical usage includes preparing reference data for queries or enrichment, validating file content to avoid ingestion issues, and keeping stored resources current and organized.

Authentication

Platform API endpoints use Platform token and OAuth client authentication. Attach a platform token or OAuth access token to the Authorization HTTP header using the Bearer scheme.

--header 'Authorization: Bearer <platform-token-or-oauth-access-token>'

For details, see Tokens and authentication and Platform tokens.

Endpoints

  • Test parsing lookup data (POST /files/tabular/lookup:test-pattern)
  • Upload lookup data (POST /files/tabular/lookup:upload)
  • Permanently delete a file (POST /files:delete)
