Manage Grail fieldsets in Dynatrace: get, create, update, and delete fieldset definitions to control field-level access and exposure in query workflows.

Overview

Dynatrace Grail - Fieldsets API manages fieldset definitions that control which fields are exposed and how field-level access is applied in Grail query workflows. It lets you retrieve all fieldsets, create new ones, inspect a specific fieldset by UID, update an existing definition with full overwrite behavior, and delete fieldsets when they are no longer needed. Typical usage includes automating governance for query access, keeping field exposure aligned with security policies, and maintaining consistent fieldset configurations across environments.

Authentication

Platform API endpoints use Platform token and OAuth client authentication. Attach a platform token or OAuth access token to the Authorization HTTP header using the Bearer scheme.

--header 'Authorization: Bearer <platform-token-or-oauth-access-token>'

For details, see Tokens and authentication and Platform tokens.
