Manage Dynatrace Notification API self notifications: get, create, update, patch, and delete with Notification Service, now deprecated in favor of v2.

Use the @dynatrace-sdk/client-notification SDK client instead of calling this API directly — it handles authentication, typing, and the environment URL for you. This REST reference is for external and automation use.

Overview

Dynatrace Notification v1 lets you manage self notifications through the Notification Service API, including creating, viewing, updating, partially updating, and deleting notification definitions for your own use. It supports common notification lifecycle tasks such as retrieving all self notifications, inspecting a specific notification, and maintaining its configuration over time. This API is deprecated as of 9 Jul 2025 and will be sunset on 31 Dec 2026, so Dynatrace recommends using the event notifications API in Notification Service v2 for new and ongoing integrations.

Authentication

Platform API endpoints use Platform token and OAuth client authentication. Attach a platform token or OAuth access token to the Authorization HTTP header using the Bearer scheme.

--header 'Authorization: Bearer <platform-token-or-oauth-access-token>'

For details, see Tokens and authentication and Platform tokens.
