Use the @dynatrace-sdk/client-app-settings-v2 SDK client instead of calling this API directly — it handles authentication, typing, and the environment URL for you. This REST reference is for external and automation use.
Dynatrace App Settings API lets you retrieve, create, update, and delete persisted app settings objects so you can manage application configuration programmatically. It also exposes the effective settings values and the permissions that apply to a given object, including ownership, user-specific access, and all-users permissions, which helps you control who can view or change settings. Typical usage includes automating configuration workflows, syncing settings across environments, and auditing access before making changes.
Platform API endpoints use Platform token and OAuth client authentication. Attach a platform token or OAuth access token to the Authorization HTTP header using the Bearer scheme.
