Manage Dynatrace AppEngine Registry to install, update, uninstall, list, search, and inspect apps, plus get manifest schema and CSP rules.

Building a Dynatrace app?

Use the @dynatrace-sdk/client-app-engine-registry SDK client instead of calling this API directly — it handles authentication, typing, and the environment URL for you. This REST reference is for external and automation use.

Overview

The Registry is mainly responsible for:

  • installing / updating apps
  • uninstalling apps
  • getting detailed app information

Asynchronous behavior

Both the install and the uninstall process are performed asynchronously. The Registry persists the app bundle and defines the desired state of the app (e.g. installed, uninstalled). The installation / uninstallation process is then handled asynchronously by a separate service.

The current status of the app is provided by the status in the response body of the respective GET request, e.g. /apps/{id}.

Authentication

Platform API endpoints use Platform token and OAuth client authentication. Attach a platform token or OAuth access token to the Authorization HTTP header using the Bearer scheme.

--header 'Authorization: Bearer <platform-token-or-oauth-access-token>'

For details, see Tokens and authentication and Platform tokens.

Endpoints

  • Uninstall an app (DELETE /apps/{id})
  • Get the app manifest schema (GET /app.manifest.schema.json)
  • Get default app CSP rules (GET /app.default.csp.json)
