ActiveGate release notes version 1.247

With this release, the oldest supported ActiveGate versions are:

How long are versions supported following rollout?

TLS 1.3 support

Starting with this release, TLS 1.3 is enabled by default on all ActiveGate types. To enable TLS 1.3 on versions between 1.223 and 1.245, edit ActiveGate configuration.

New operating system support for Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate

Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate can now be installed on Amazon Linux 2.

Chromium support for private Synthetic locations

Chromium 103 is now the latest supported version for Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate installed on:

  • Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8.
  • CentOS 7 and 8.
  • Amazon Linux 2.

Chromium 103 is bundled with the Windows ActiveGate installer.

For more information, see Requirements for private Synthetic locations.

Kubernetes events

A new OOMKilled event helps in analyzing out-of-memory (OOM) kill events. This event is written to the Kubernetes pod entity and is shown on the Kubernetes events cards. The event is also considered in the Davis root-cause analysis. With the OOM kill metric, it can be used as a second source of information.

zRemote module for z/OS monitoring

The zRemote module can now use its local Environment ActiveGate for routing binary data compressed and encrypted to Dynatrace. This means there is no more need for an additional ActiveGate with an enabled OneAgent routing module. To get started, see Install the zRemote module.
