Network flows capture traffic between two endpoints and are stored in Grail as generic events.

Dynatrace supports three ways to collect network flow data:

  • OneAgent network connection monitoring
  • NetFlow ingestion via the OpenTelemetry Collector
  • Log-based cloud network observability

Network flow types

Choose the collection method that fits your environment and infrastructure.

OneAgent network connection monitoring

Configure OneAgent network connection monitoring settings, query flow data with DQL, and explore available network flow attributes.
