Limits

The following page lists the default limits of the Distributed Tracing app.

Data retention

Spans of a distributed trace are stored in the default_span built-in Grail bucket with a 10-day retention period.

Timeframe

The maximum timeframe duration is 7 days.

Most recent spans

The maximum number of visible most recent spans is 1000.

Sampling rate

The sampling rate range is 1-100,000, depending on filters and timeframe.

Scanned bytes

The maximum size of scanned bytes is 50 GB.
