Delete an external datastore definition from Dynatrace Grail by its name with the External Datastores API when Grail no longer needs to query it.

DELETESaaShttps://{your-environment-id}.apps.dynatrace.com/v1/external-datastore-definitions/{storeName}

Overview

You use the storeName path parameter to delete an external datastore definition that Grail no longer needs to query. The definition is removed from your environment, and a 200 response confirms the deletion. To review the remaining definitions afterward, list all external datastore definitions.

Authentication

To execute this request, you need a platform token or OAuth access token with storage:external-datastore-definitions:delete scope. To learn how to obtain and use it, see Tokens and authentication.
