Delete a credential entry from the Dynatrace Credential Vault by its ID with the Credential Vault API; entries of other users need admin permission.

DELETESaaShttps://{your-environment-id}.apps.dynatrace.com/v1/entries/{entry-id}

Overview

You use the entry-id path parameter to permanently delete one credential entry from the vault, for example when an integration no longer needs it or a secret was compromised. Deleting an entry owned by another user requires the credential-vault:entries:admin permission. A 204 response without a body confirms the deletion.

Authentication

To execute this request, you need a platform token or OAuth access token with credential-vault:entries:write scope. To learn how to obtain and use it, see Tokens and authentication.
